Rafael Devers Dealing With Calf Injury
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (calf) is out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Oakland Athletics due to right-calf tightness. Devers is considered day-to-day for now. It doesn't sound like a serious injury for the 26-year-old, but fantasy managers will need to check back on Tuesday to see if he has returned to action. The two-time All-Star is a must-start whenever he's on the field, as he's hitting .261 (91-for-348) with 23 home runs, 22 doubles, 73 RBI and 53 runs scored in 90 games and 388 plate appearances for the BoSox this year. With Devers getting the day off on Monday to start a series against the A's, Justin Turner is starting at third base and batting third against A's right-hander Paul Blackburn.
