Vancouver Cancuks defenseman Quinn Hughes led all skaters with three points in Thursday's high-scoring 5-4 loss to Tampa Bay. He scored his third goal of the season and picked up two assists, one on the power play. Hughes went completely goalless until Dec. 27 but has now picked up his form in front of the net and even boasts goals in back-to-back games. His second assist marked his 200th career point and Hughes became the third-fastest active defenseman to hit the milestone behind only Cale Makar (195 GP) and Adam Fox (241 GP). The 23-year-old is one of the best offensive defensemen in the league, with 36 points earned in 37 games, but Hughes has also made an impact defensively by tallying 36 blocks this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
