Phillip Danault signed with the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. His deal is for six years at an AAV of $5.5 million. The center had a bit of a down year offensively with just five goals and 24 points in 53 games. This was after seasons of 47 and 53 points respectively. The Montreal Canadiens center has finished eighth or better in the Selke Trophy voting (best defensive forward) for the last three seasons. His defensive ability was one of the main stories of the playoffs as he slowed down the Auston Matthews line and then Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty. Danault expects to be the second-line center behind Anze Kopitar. So, expect an uptick in fantasy production but not what his career highs were in Montreal. --Chris Wassel - RotoBallerRead More News
