Star winger Patrick Kane (hip) is set to remain a free agent for the start of the 2023-24 NHL season. The former MVP is currently recovering from hip resurfacing surgery he had at the start of June and the expected recovery time is 4-6 months. The new season gets underway on Oct. 10. Kane's agent Pat Brisson has told NHL.com that he is doing "great" in his recovery. The three-time Stanley Cup champion will likely look to join a contender once he's healthy to play again. Kane is turning 35 in November and had a career-low 0.78 points per game last season, but he was flirting with a 100-point campaign just two seasons ago and should still have plenty of suitors.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
