Patrick Corbin Rocked Again
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin struggled for a third straight start on Tuesday, allowing seven runs in five innings and taking a loss to fall to 5-5 with a 4.11 ERA. Corbin allowed a first inning grand slam to Welington Castillo and a 462-foot bomb to Eloy Jimenez as two of six hits against him. He walked two and struck out five on 88 pitches. Corbin still has the stuff to be a top pitcher but needs to get it together before he faces the Phillies at Nationals Park next. Sitting him for that matchup is tempting but he could turn it around any time, so think hard before making that decision.
