Pat Freiermuth Expected To Be Cleared For Week 7
2 years agoThe expectation is that Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (concussion) will be cleared to play in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night. Steelers.com's Dale Lolley reports that head coach Mike Tomlin said Freiermuth is scheduled to return to practice on Wednesday after sitting out the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his absence last Sunday, Zach Gentry caught his only target for just four yards. Before getting injured in Week 5, Freiermuth caught seven of nine targets for a season-high 85 yards in Week 4 against the New York Jets. The second-year tight end will be on the TE1/2 borderline if he returns to action in Week 7 against the Dolphins.
