The Pittsburgh Pirates agreed to terms with Sacramento State right-handed pitcher Parker Brahms following the conclusion of the 2020 MLB draft last week. Due to the shortened draft this year, all 30 teams may sign an unlimited number of high school and college players who went undrafted for a maximum of $20,000 each. Brahms returned for his senior season after being taken by the Dodgers in the 27th round last year. He'll receive a $20,000 signing bonus, according to a source. The 6-foot-3, 209-pounder was 2-1 with a 1.14 ERA, 32 strikeouts and no walks over his first four starts this year before the season was shut down. It had been a good rebound after he posted a 4.70 ERA in his junior season while working out mechanical kinks.--Keith HernandezRead More News
