Panthers Unlikely To Consider DeAndre Hopkins
1 year agoCarolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer will always monitor free agents that might be a fit, but the team currently has more pressing needs at edge rusher and cornerback, which makes it unlikely that they'll seriously consider signing free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Carolina traded away DJ Moore in order to get the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, which they in turn used to take quarterback Bryce Young. They added DJ Chark Jr. and Adam Thielen in free agency, but the Panthers could use another wideout to aid Young in his rookie season. The Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots have met with Hopkins and have offered him deals, but Hopkins isn't rushing things and hopes to drum up some more interest before training camp to drive his price up.
