Panthers To Visit With Jadeveon Clowney
9 months agoThe Carolina Panthers will host three-time Pro Bowler Jadeveon Clowney on a visit this week, according to sources. Clowney is drawing interest from a few teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, but he is exploring a return home first. The 31-year-old veteran pass-rusher is a native of Rock Hill, North Carolina, and played his college ball at South Carolina. The former first overall pick of the Houston Texans in 2014 made all three of his Pro Bowl squads with Houston from 2016-18. In Baltimore last year, Clowney played in all 17 regular-season games (15 starts) for the Ravens and had a career-high-tying 9.5 sacks, a career-high 43 tackles (24 solo), nine tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, five passes defended, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. If he's able to stay healthy for a full season again, which is unlikely given his injury history, Clowney has the ability to be useful in deep IDP fantasy leagues.
