4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers selected Notre Dame tight end Tommy Tremble with the No. 83 overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday night. Tremble is an athletic blocking specialist who has the skills to be more of a receiving tight end at the next level. Because he also excels at blocking, he'll be more of an underneath threat with the ball in his hands, but he also has some yards-after-the-catch ability at 6-foot-4, 248 pounds. The Panthers didn't really use their tight ends in the passing game last season, but that could change with the additions of Tremble and Dan Arnold. We wouldn't expect Tremble to make much noise for fantasy owners in Year 1, but his presence is excellent news for both quarterback Sam Darnold and running back Christian McCaffrey.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
