3 years agoCarolina Panthers owner David Tepper and the team are not expected to pursue a trade for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson at this time, according to sources. Watson has apparently only waived his full no-trade clause for the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have reportedly agreed to terms on a trade for Watson with the Texans, but they want his legal issues to be resolved before consummating a deal, so a trade is nowhere near imminent. Perhaps the Panthers get involved in the offseason if Houston's deal with Miami falls through, but for now, it looks as though the struggling Sam Darnold will remain under center as the starter for a Week 8 meeting with the Atlanta Falcons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
