Anthony Richardson's Week 18 Status Uncertain
Anthony Richardson (back, foot) will start in Week 18 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan reported the news. Steichen also noted that the 22-year-old is feeling better on Monday and will start this weekend if he's healthy enough to do so. The second-year pro had been dealing with a foot issue he picked up in Week 16 but has also reportedly been battling back spasms -- the actual reason for his inactive designation versus the Giants. With the entire week to rest before the season's final slate of contests, Richardson will still have a shot at playing. However, his progress over the next few days will be telling of his availability. With Indy officially eliminated from playoff contention, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Florida alum miss another outing.Source: Kevin Bowen
According to head coach Shane Steichen, the Indianapolis Colts are still unsure if quarterback Adonai Mitchell Does Little Yet Again In Week 17

Anthony Richardson Dealing With Pretty Serious Back Spasms
Anthony Richardson (calf) was reportedly dealing with very serious back spasms leading up to the Week 17 contest against the New York Giants on Sunday, which is why he was deemed inactive. However, there were also reports coming from the team that Richardson was just dealing with "soreness," which ESPN's Stephen Holder says was ridiculous. Richardson was not permitted to speak to reporters after Sunday's loss, which eliminated Indy from postseason contention. With the Colts now eliminated from the playoffs, it seems likely that Richardson will miss a second straight game due to his back spasms, so fantasy managers still playing for a championship in Week 18 shouldn't expect to have the second-year signal-caller's services against the Jaguars. Veteran Joe Flacco went 26-for-38 for 330 yards, two TDs and two picks in his fifth start of the year against New York.Source: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Josh Downs With Underwhelming Week 17 Performance
Josh Downs was limited to just three catches on four targets for 22 yards and no scores in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants. After showing a rapport earlier in the season with Joe Flacco under center, the veteran looked at both Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce more often with a combined 15 targets between them. Seemingly the No. 1 option around midseason, the 23-year-old has fallen out of favor regardless of who has been at QB, now with four straight contests with exactly three catches for a total of 142 yards and one touchdown over that stretch. The Colts, although eliminated from playoff contention, will get a favorable matchup in the final week of the season in a home contest against the Jaguars and Downs will look to finish the season on a high note.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce With A Big Day In Week 17 Loss
Alec Pierce caught six of nine targets for 122 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants. Both the target and catch totals were season highs, while it was the third time the speedy wideout has gone over 100 yards in a game this season. Although the 24-year-old is the third option behind Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr. with just 35 receptions on the year, he leads the Colts in receiving yards (767) and reception TDs (6) thanks to his league-leading average depth of target (aDOT). If Joe Flacco gets the start again next Sunday, Pierce could be in line for at least a few more accurately thrown long-balls before the season is out in a great home matchup versus the Jaguars.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. Goes Over 100 Yards, Scores A TD In Week 17

Joe Flacco Throws Two TDs, Commits Three Turnovers
Joe Flacco completed 26 of 38 pass attempts for 330 yards and two touchdowns, but was responsible for three turnovers -- two interceptions and a lost fumble -- in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants. The 39-year-old's 68.4% completion rate breathed some life into what has been an underwhelming passing attack, producing two 100-yard receivers in the same game for the first time all season for the Colts. However, Indy was playing from behind all game and Flacco likely had to throw more than they expected or wanted him to. Nevertheless, with Indianapolis eliminated from playoff contention, the Colts may not want to run Anthony Richardson (back, foot) out there for the final game in Week 18. If Flacco draws another start, it will be in a favorable home matchup versus the 4-12 Jaguars, the same team the veteran put up big numbers against earlier this season.Source: ESPN
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jonathan Taylor Tallies 125 Yards, Scores Twice
Jonathan Taylor ran the ball 32 times for 125 yards and two scores in their loss to the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon. He also brought in two of his four targets for 11 yards. Taylor punched in his first score of the game in the second quarter on a three-yard run. Later in the third, Taylor would tally his second touchdown, this time on a 26-yard run. This was also his longest run of the afternoon. Taylor has now posted back-to-back outing where he tallied at least two touchdowns and eclipsed over 100 rushing yards. Since Week 13, Taylor has seen at least 22 rushing attempts per game. The Wisconsin product remains a high-end RB1 heading into his final game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars who have allowed the second-most PPR points to opposing RBs.Source: ESPN.com
Indianapolis Colts running back E.J. Speed, Quenton Nelson Active Against Jaguars On Sunday
Indianapolis Colts linebacker E.J. Speed (knee) and left guard Quenton Nelson (ankle) are active for Sunday's Week 17 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both players had been listed as questionable. Speed has been one of the top IDP contributors this season, registering 129 tackles and one interception. Meanwhile, Nelson has long been an anchor within the Colts' offensive line, and he's only missed a few snaps in 2024. This Sunday, he'll be tasked with protecting quarterbackMo Alie-Cox Suiting Up Against Jaguars Sunday
Mo Alie-Cox (toe) is officially active for Sunday's Week 17 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction after logging a full practice on Friday. The 31-year-old has appeared in 15 games this season, catching just 12 passes for 147 yards and one touchdown. He remains off the fantasy radar given his reduced role in a tight end room that also features Drew Ogletree and Kylen Granson.Source: Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis Colts tight end Colts Defense Gets Favorable Matchup At Perfect Time

The Indianapolis Colts defense/special teams gets a favorable matchup just in time for fantasy championships, taking on the New York Giants in Week 17. While the Colts have not been a very productive D/ST unit in fantasy football this season, that could change this Sunday with a favorable matchup against New York's poor offense. The Giants have scored the fewest points in the NFL this season, and they're a full two points per game behind the second-lowest team. They have also allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing defenses. The Colts are coming off decent showings against the Patriots, Broncos, and Titans, and they'll look to keep that momentum going against New York's Anthony Richardson Ruled Out For Week 17
Anthony Richardson (back/foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Richardson was unable to participate in practice all week and will set his sights on returning in Week 18 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As a result, veteran Joe Flacco will get the starting nod. Over his past five games Richardson has been very productive from a fantasy standpoint tallying 23.1 PPR points per game and finding the back of the end zone nine times over this stretch. Flacco has been productive when given opportunities this season. Across five games, he has averaged 233.4 passing yards per game with a 9:5 TD:INT ratio. He is a solid QB2 in Superflex formats facing the Giants who have allowed the 17th-most PPR points to opposing QBs this season.Source: Adam Schefter

Jonathan Taylor To Help Bring Home Fantasy Championships In Week 17
Jonathan Taylor ran for a season-high 218 yards and scored three times last week. When Taylor is in the backfield, he monopolizes the touches and typically handles a workhorse load, logging 20-plus carries in eight of the 12 games he's played in. The only competition he faces is usually from quarterback Anthony Richardson, which is partly why the 25-year-old hadn't scored a rushing TD since Week 8 prior to last week's outburst. Richardson hasn't practiced all week due to back and foot ailments, and if he were to miss the game it should provide a boost to Taylor's chances of finding paydirt in back-to-back weeks. Regardless of QB, Taylor should handle a heavy load against a Giants rush defense that is bottom-third in the NFL in allowing fantasy production to RBs, making him a mid-range RB1 in this matchup.Source: ESPN
