Shohei Ohtani launched two homers off
Brady Singer on Sunday, leading the Dodgers to a 3-0 win over the Kansas City Royals. Ohtani went 2-for-3 with a pair of homers and a walk in this one, scoring two runs and driving in two in the process. There's not much more that can be said about the Dodgers superstar, who now has a .309 AVG and .976 OPS to go along with 53 runs, 19 homers, 46 RBI, and 15 steals. He is one of the premiere five-category contributors in fantasy baseball and will likely be a first-round pick next year.

Yimi Garcia (elbow) left Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians with right elbow soreness, according to manager John Schneider. Garcia was in for a save with the Jays up 7-4, but allowed four hits and two runs before Schneider and a trainer came out to check in on him. Garcia wasn't able to finish the game off and was replaced by
Nate Pearson, who picked up his second save of the year. Pearson and
Chad Green would be the most likely candidates to garner save chances while Garcia and
Jordan Romano are out with injury, but the latter should return sooner rather than later, making the fantasy options fairly unappealing outside of single-week use.

Carlos Correa shined in a doubleheader against the Oakland Athletics, tallying five hits and two homers across the twin bill. Correa had three hits and blasted both homers in the first game, then picked up two more base knocks in the second game. The 29-year-old now has 20 hits in his last 36 at-bats (.556 AVG) with three homers and 11 RBI. His OPS has gone from .761 to .878 in that stretch, and his AVG has jumped from .255 to .308. Correa likely carried his fantasy owners to wins all by himself this week, and his stock is rising quickly in the process. It may be a good time to sell high, but be aware that Correa might be finding his form and could continue to be a great fantasy asset all season.

Royce Lewis had a monster day on Sunday, belting a homer in each game of a doubleheader against the Oakland Athletics. Lewis went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, a run, and an RBI in the first game and then went 1-for-3 with a homer, two walks, two runs, and two RBI in game two. He now holds an absurd .390/.447/.951 slash line, albeit in just 41 at-bats. He has always crushed the ball when healthy and is a terrific fantasy player when he's on the field. The downside is the injury risk, but he has so much upside that it's hard not to consider him an elite option.

Jordan Montgomery put together a strong outing during Sunday's start against the Chicago White Sox. The left-hander has struggled out of the gate this season but made easy work of the lackluster White Sox lineup here. Montgomery allowed only an unearned run on four hits over five strong innings in the victory. The 31-year-old piled up seven strikeouts while issuing a pair of walks. He'll carry a 6.00 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and 31/21 K/BB ratio into a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies in his next start.

Drew Thorpe was unable to find much success during Sunday's outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The rookie right-hander was smacked around for eight runs (seven earned) on six hits over 3 1/3 innings of work. Thorpe issued five walks and didn't strike out anyone in this disaster of a performance. The 23-year-old had a promising debut against the Seattle Mariners, but followed it up with a dud. He hopes to get back on track during his next start versus the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.

Ronel Blanco was unhittable during Sunday's start against the Detroit Tigers. The right-hander threw seven innings of no-hit baseball during Sunday's victory. He racked up eight strikeouts along the way and walked three batters as well. The 30-year-old threw 94 pitches before being lifted from the game. The no-hitter didn't last much longer as right-hander
Ryan Pressly gave up a hit in the eighth inning. Nonetheless, Blanco will carry a 2.43 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP into his next start against the Baltimore Orioles.

Anthony Rizzo (wrist) was removed early during Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox. The veteran slugger suffered a right wrist injury when colliding with pitcher
Brennan Bernardino who was attempting to cover first base. The expectation is that Rizzo will undergo X-rays to determine the severity of the injury. Fantasy managers will need to stay tuned for more updates on his status.
Oswaldo Cabrera came into the game to play third base while
DJ LeMahieu swapped over to first base on Sunday. LeMahieu will likely see more action at first base if Rizzo is forced to miss time.

Max Muncy (oblique) is reportedly progressing slowly in his recovery efforts, according to manager Dave Roberts. The left-handed slugger has been shut down from swinging a bat for at least the next week. The Dodgers haven't given a clear timetable for his return but fantasy managers shouldn't expect it to be anytime soon. This is bad timing with the Dodgers also losing
Mookie Betts (wrist) on Sunday. That being said,
Cavan Biggio,
Kike Hernandez, and
Miguel Rojas should all see increased playing time going forward. None of these players have done enough with the bat this season to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.

Max Scherzer (thumb) is on the verge of returning to the big league rotation. The veteran right-hander threw 79 pitches over 4 2/3 innings during his most recent rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. Rangers' manager Bruce Bochy said on Sunday that Scherzer would rejoin the Rangers as long as he bounces back well from his latest rehab start. That being said, Scherzer could end up making his season debut at some point next week.

Bryan Woo (forearm) is scheduled to return to the starting rotation on Wednesday versus the Cleveland Guardians. The 24-year-old has been sidelined since missing his last start on Tuesday. Woo appears ready to go after getting a clean MRI on his forearm. The right-hander has been fantastic with a 1.07 ERA, 0.64 WHIP, and 24/2 K/BB ratio through his first six starts of the season.

Corbin Carroll (rib) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game. The 23-year-old will remain in Arizona to undergo an MRI exam due to rib cage discomfort. The D-Backs are hopeful it's a minor issue, but the MRI should give the organization a better timetable. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Monday for another update but they should prepare a backup plan in case Carroll does miss time.

Luis Rengifo (wrist) was pulled from Sunday's game after being hit by a pitch in the wrist. He did undergo precautionary X-rays but avoided any major injuries. The Angels are calling the injury a left wrist contusion. It appears to be minor considering Rengifo told reporters after the game that he expects to play on Monday. It's possible that the Angels hold out Rengifo for a few days until he's back to 100 percent. Fantasy managers should check back on Monday for an update.

Miguel Vargas is expected to be recalled following
Mookie Betts (hand) being placed on the injured list. Vargas was recently sent down but the Dodgers could use another infielder with Betts expected to miss multiple weeks. The expectation is that
Kike Hernandez and
Miguel Rojas will fill in at shortstop. However, Vargas could be in the mix as well, assuming he gets recalled. Fantasy managers can probably continue avoiding Vargas unless he finds a way to get into the lineup on a daily basis.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder) will be shut down from throwing for the next couple of weeks. The right-hander suffered a strained rotator cuff during Saturday's outing. Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts mentioned that Yamamoto didn't suffer a season-ending injury but is certainly going to miss some time. At the moment, it sounds like
Bobby Miller is set to take the vacant rotation spot. He could be a possible streaming option for fantasy managers who are desperate for pitching help.
