Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert played well in a 27-10 Week 9 win over the Cleveland Browns. Herbert attempted 27 passes, completing 18 of them for 282 yards and two touchdowns. He added two yards on the ground on three recorded carries while taking six sacks, losing 36 yards. Herbert's first touchdown was a 28-yard pass to Joshua Palmer in the first quarter, and he followed it up with a 66-yard pass to Quentin Johnston in the second. Herbert didn't need to do much in the second half as the Chargers just chewed lock and nursed their lead. He could have had a bigger game, but the Bolts defense held the Browns to just three points until the last drive of the game. Herbert and the Chargers will take on the Titans in Week 10.--David A MarcilloSource: ESPN.com

Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa (hip) is officially active for Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. He had been listed as questionable after logging three limited practices in a row. The 29-year-old returned last week from a three-game absence and is now active again on Sunday. He's looking to stay healthy for the back half of the season, building on his existing nine-tackle, two-sack campaign.--Andersen PickardSource: Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. He had been listed as questionable after finishing the week with back-to-back limited practices. Even though Chark was a full participant in practice and was activated from injured reserve this weekend, he's going to be sidelined for at least one more week. Evidently, Chark wasn't going to have much of a role on offense behind Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Josh Palmer.--Andersen PickardSource: Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark (groin) was activated from the injured reserve list on Saturday. The veteran wideout has been sidelined since the preseason because of a groin injury. However, even though there is potential for Chark to get work versus the Cleveland Browns, fantasy managers may want to pump the brakes before putting him in the lineup, especially with Quentin Johnston (ankle) back in the mix after missing time with an ankle injury.--Dennis ClausenSource: Tom Pelissero

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ankle) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) are off the team's injury report ahead of Week 9. Both athletes haven't appeared in action since being forced from the Chargers' Week 6 23-16 victory over the Denver Broncos early with their respective injuries. It's fantastic news for LA, as wideout DJ Chark (groin) could also be activated off injured reserve this Sunday, meaning Brenden Rice (shoulder) is the only other Chargers' wide receiver to carry a designation. Still, Johnston and Hurst will be tough to trust regarding fantasy output with the emergence of rookie wideout Ladd McConkey (hip). The Bolts will square off against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field this Sunday.--Alex CiullaSource: Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark (groin) is questionable for Sunday's road outing against the Cleveland Browns. Chark has yet to be activated from the injured reserve after injuring his groin right before the start of the season. However, the 28-year-old was able to log two full practice sessions to close out the week, so perhaps this is the week he'll make his season debut. Even if he suits up, it will be difficult to trust the former second-round pick in his first game back to action as his role in the offense is unclear. Especially with the impending return of fellow wideout Quentin Johnston (ankle). While Chark may carve out a role for himself on the field, he's unlikely to provide a noteworthy fantasy impact.--Alex CiullaSource: Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers defense is a good option for Week 9 fantasy lineups as the Bolts travel to Ohio to take on the Cleveland Browns. The Chargers defensive unit is coming off an overall DST3 finish last week against the New Orleans Saints, and now they face a Browns offense that is in flux and led by turnover-happy Jameis Winston. The Chargers defense already has five top-12 fantasy finishes and should be right on track for another one this weekend. Joey Bosa (hip) could be making his return as well, which would bolster the pass rush for the Bolts.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker is a solid and reliable option in Week 9 fantasy lineups as the Chargers hit the road to take on the Cleveland Browns. Dicker has two top-six fantasy kicker finishes in the past three weeks, and he's continued with the consistency he showed in his rookie season. This year, he's missed just one field goal and two extra points through a total of 26 made kicks. With a Cleveland defense that is decent at best and a Chargers offense that appears to be on the upswing, Dicker could see several chances to score points this weekend and should be a solid top-10 option at the position.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ankle) is expected to return to the field in a Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns. Johnston missed Week 7 and Week 8 due to an ankle injury, but he was able to practice in full on Thursday and Friday after a limited practice on Wednesday, and he enters the weekend with no injury designation. In his place, fellow wide receiver Ladd McConkey and tight end Will Dissly have been seeing more targets. Johnston was averaging between four and five targets per game before getting hurt and should be right around there in his return as well. His return will be a nice upgrade for the Chargers offense in general but likely won't be a huge boost to any fantasy teams, as he's a WR4 at best in this matchup.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer is not a great option in Week 9 fantasy lineups. Palmer hasn't finished higher than the overall WR27 this season and is averaging a WR58 performance through his six games played. With the Chargers receiving corps expected to welcome back Quentin Johnston (ankle) and D.J. Chark (groin) this week, Palmer could fade into a support role and should not be in the starting lineup in most fantasy leagues. He likely does not even need to be rostered in standard sized leagues right now either.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey (hip) will look for another big game in Week 9 when the Chargers face off against the Cleveland Browns. McConkey has been dealing with a hip issue and has missed some practice time lately, but he comes into this game without an injury designation after getting full practices in on Thursday and Friday. McConkey is coming off a two touchdown game that landed him as the overall fantasy WR2, but with Quentin Johnston (ankle) and D.J. Chark (groin) both expected back, McConkey might not see quite as many targets as he has the past few games. Still, he's a high-floor option as a WR2 with a decent ceiling as well.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Kimani Vidal is likely to remain in his role as the primary backup to starter J.K. Dobbins when the Chargers face the Cleveland Browns in Week 9. Vidal has worked his way up the depth chart to the number two spot, but Dobbins has a three-down skillset and is one of the few backs in the league playing on almost every down. Vidal has mixed in as a change of pace and backup, and while he's looked solid when given the chance, he likely won't receive consistent enough chances to put up reliable fantasy numbers. However, if Dobbins were ever forced to miss time, Vidal would immediately skyrocket into the RB2/3 conversation.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins will look for another good week in a Week 9 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Dobbins was solid against the New Orleans Saints in a Week 8 win, putting up 57 yards and a touchdown on the ground to go with four catches on seven targets through the air. It wasn't his most effective game on a per-touch basis, but his continued heavy involvement in both parts of the offensive game plan is encouraging. Dobbins was given Thursday off this week, as he missed practice for a rest day, but he enters the game with no injury designation after returning to a full practice on Friday. Dobbins is a steady and reliable RB2 option with weekly RB1 upside, especially with the Chargers offense finally starting to move the ball well over the past couple of games.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will look to build off his strong performance in Week 8 as he heads into a Week 9 game against the Cleveland Browns. Herbert had his first fantasy QB1 game of the season in Week 8, putting up 24.1 fantasy points in standard scoring leagues for an overall QB9 finish. Herbert has been playing well most of the season but hadn't been asked to do much in what was an extremely run-heavy offense. He's thrown more in the past two games, however, and could be continuing that pattern against an average at best Cleveland secondary. With several of his pass catchers expected to be back and fully healthy this week, it could be a second QB1 performance in a row for the Bolts signal caller.--David A MarcilloSource: RotoBaller
