Eichel missed the previous four games due to an upper-body injury but was able to see some action prior to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He would find the back of the net in the final frame on a tip-in. Before his injury, Eichel was also riding a four-game scoreless streak. However, before the slump, the 28-year-old scored six goals and added seven helpers over his last six contests. During this stretch, Eichel logged 13 shots on goal and held a +9 rating. Through 77 total games this season, Eichel has scored 28 goals and added an impressive 66 helpers. He will be viewed as a top play in DFS during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin tallied a goal and an assist during their victory over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday evening. Larkin did all of his damage in the third period. He would first find the back of the net in a snapshot. Later in the period, he would add the primary assist on Alex DeBrincat's 38th goal of the campaign. This was his second-straight contest, tallying two points. Over his last seven games, Larkin has found the back of the net twice and added six helpers. Before this recent surge, Larkin carried a five-game scoreless streak during the final week of March. Through 81 games this season, the 28-year-old has scored 30 goals and added 40 helpers. This was his fourth-straight season hitting the 30-goal mark and the second time in four years tallying at least 70 points.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle scored two goals in their playoff-clinching victory on Wednesday evening over the Carolina Hurricanes. Guhle opened the scoring in the first period when he found the back of the net on a snapshot. Later in the second period, Guhle would score his second goal of the contest, on another snapshot. He also logged three shots on goal, seven hits, and an impressive three blocked shots. Before Wednesday's contest, the 23-year-old was riding a five-game scoreless streak. He was still effective in other parts of the game during this stretch as he logged 14 hits and 12 blocked shots. This victory earned them the No. 2 wild card in the Eastern Conference, which set them up for a matchup against the Washington Capitals. Guhle remains a value play in DFS during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

New Jersey Devils left wing Ondrej Palat (undisclosed) will not play on Wednesday against the Detroit Red Wings. He suffered an undisclosed injury while blocking a shot in Tuesday's win over the Boston Bruins. According to Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe, Palat is still experiencing some soreness. However, the team expects it to be "something he can push through pretty quickly," so it looks like Palat could be available for the start of the postseason. The Devils captain will take the night off to rest a bit before the playoffs start. Hischier wraps up the 2024-25 campaign with a career-high 35 goals and 69 points in 75 appearances. Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Elvis Merzlikins (undisclosed) practiced on Wednesday but is not expected to play in Thursday's regular-season finale against the New York Islanders. The Latvian netminder has sat out four contests while dealing with an unspecified health issue. Merzlikins' injury has come at a very bad time for the Blue Jackets, as they are still battling for a playoff spot. Luckily for the team, Jet Greaves has put together an impressive four-game stretch between the sticks, posting two shutouts and allowing only three total goals. Merzlikins doubled his wins tally from last year and will finish the campaign with a 26-21-5 record. He posted one shutout with a 3.18 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage.
