Packers Request Permission To Speak With Dennard Wilson
11 months agoThe Green Bay Packers requested permission to speak with Baltimore Ravens secondary coach Dennard Wilson for their vacant defensive-coordinator job, according to a source. Wilson is also interviewing for the same position with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, and the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants have also spoken with him as well. The 41-year-old just finished his first year with the Ravens after spending the two previous seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. Wilson started his coaching career as a quality-control coach for the Rams in 2012 before being promoted to defensive backs coach in 2015. He also served as the New York Jets' defensive backs coach from 2017-20, adding passing-game coordinator duties in 2019. The Packers are looking for a new defensive coordinator after firing Joe Barry following the 2023 season.
