Oliver Ekman-Larsson Verbally Agrees To Contract Extension
7 years agoArizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has reportedly come to a verbal agreement to stay put with the Arizona Coyotes. The contract extension is expected to be an eight-year deal worth over $8 million annually. Ekman-Larsson has spent all of his eight NHL seasons with the Arizona franchise that selected him with the sixth overall draft pick in the 2009 draft, and he is coming off a season in which he posted 42 points (14 goals and 28 assists) in 82 games. The two parties can't officially announce the deal until July 1, but this verbal agreement likely comes as a sigh of relief to Coyote fans.
