Not Looking Good For Corey Davis In Week 8
3 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said "it's not looking good" for wide receiver Corey Davis (hip) to play in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals after he suffered a hip flexor injury in practice on Thursday. Saleh said the team is still holding out hope that Davis can play on Sunday, but it's trending in the direction that he will be inactive. A Davis absence would give Denzel Mims an opportunity to step into a bigger role alongside rookie Elijah Moore and Keelan Cole, but none of New York's pass-catchers should really be trusted for much production if Davis is inactive with quarterback Mike White making his first career start due to rookie Zach Wilson's (knee) injury. The Bengals defense has elite Week 8 upside.
