Noah Syndergaard Won’t Return Sunday
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard was all set to return from the disabled list on Sunday against the New York Yankees, but Syndergaard’s right index finger swelled up following a game of catch on Friday and he’ll need a bit more time to heal up. The plan currently calls for him to resume throwing on Monday. Seth Lugo will continue to man Thor’s rotation spot in the interim. It’s a tough blow for Syndergaard and the Mets, but hopefully after a few more days he’ll be healthy and ready to go.
