The San Francisco Standard's Tim Kawakami reports that there's "still no resolution" in the contract standoff between the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Jauan Jennings (calf). Additionally, Kawakami writes that he doesn't think "either side has ruled out anything" or that "either side is happy." Jennings has been limited by a calf injury throughout the preseason, and there's been speculation that the injury is part of a "hold-in" as he seeks a new contract. A recent report from Kawakami indicated that the team may seek to place Jennings on injured reserve if the two sides cannot agree on a new contract. Whether it's due to injury or a contractual stalemate, it appears Jennings is at serious risk of missing the start of the season. At this point in the calendar, fantasy managers should exercise caution when drafting Jennings. His main value in fantasy will come before 49ers' wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) returns to the field, which may end up being a very short window.--Will Brady
