Nick Castellanos Back From Injured List
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies reinstated outfielder Nick Castellanos (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned catcher Donny Sands to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Castellanos is starting in right field and is hitting sixth on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs and right-hander Marcus Stroman. The 30-year-old Castellanos missed almost a month with a right oblique strain and didn't go on a minor league rehab assignment, so it remains to be seen how effective he'll be at the plate for fantasy managers to close out what has been a very disappointing first year in Philly. He's returning to a .265/.305/.397 slash line with 13 home runs, 61 RBI, 53 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 499 at-bats. Castellanos made the All-Star team for the first time in 2021 and hit .309 with a career-high 34 home runs and 100 RBI.
