Neil Walker Ignites Another Yankees Rally
7 years agoStarting at first base for the New York Yankees on Wednesday, Neil Walker recorded just one hit in three plate appearances. The hit, however, came at a most opportune time, with the Yankees trailing by a run in the bottom of the eighth. The 32-year-old ripped a leadoff double to left field, eventually coming around to score the tying run. Walker has really turned a corner as of late, hitting .313 with seven runs scored over his past seven games. With Brandon Drury on the mend, the veteran is perhaps feeling the heat, as eventually, a decision will have to be made regarding the roster.
