Neal Pionk Remains Out Monday
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk (lower body) will miss a fourth consecutive game on Monday versus the Buffalo Sabres. The Jets lost Pionk to a lower-body injury on Nov. 23 and will be without him for at least one more game. Pionk has registered five points (one goal, four assists), 43 shots, 36 blocks, and 42 hits in 21 outings this season. It's been a down year for Pionk, who has previously been a regular 30-point scorer. Elias Salomonsson and Luke Schenn have received playing opportunities during Pionk's absence. Schenn re-entered the lineup with a two-assist effort on Saturday against the Nashville Predators and is expected to remain on the second defensive pairing on Monday. Meanwhile, Colin Miller will continue to skate with the second power-play unit.
