Nationals Invite Dylan Crews To Spring Training
11 months agoThe Washington Nationals announced on Tuesday that they have invited outfield prospect Dylan Crews, among others, to major-league spring training this year. Outfielder James Wood and third baseman Brady House are among some of the team's other interesting prospects that will be invited to camp. Crews was the second overall pick in last year's draft out of LSU, and he was able to slash .292/.377/.467 with five home runs in three different minor-league stops in 35 games in 2023. He was by far the most advanced hitter in last year's draft and could certainly make his big-league debut later in the 2024 season despite posting a .595 OPS in 20 games for Double-A Harrisburg last year. Crews has the ability to get on base often and raw power in his right-handed swing to eventually top 25 home runs at the next level. On top of it, he should be a 20-steal contributor once he becomes a regular for the Nats.
