Mookie Betts Says Wrist Is OK After Wall Collision
6 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts tweaked his wrist on Tuesday after colliding with the right field wall at Yankee Stadium. Trying to rob a home run, Betts remained in the game and is confident he is fine. Offensively, the reigning American League MVP is batting .212, has just two hits in his last 19 at-bats and hasn't driven in a run since April 9. Ultimately, he will snap out of his cold streak, but right now the Red Sox lineup is in a low place and is looking for leadership. Betts will look to turn things around against lefty J.A. Happ on Wednesday before beginning a three-game series against the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays this weekend.
