Mitch Trubisky Officially Out For Week 5
5 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Raiders in London. Trubisky was never expected to play in this game, especially with the Bears on bye in Week 6. There's a good chance that he winds up missing just this one game. Backup Chase Daniel will be the starter in London in a nice matchup against Oakland, but the Bears will likely lean on the ground game as much as possible. Daniel isn't a terrible backup, but he'll be more of a low-end QB2 with an expected low volume of passes in this one. Running backs David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen could both be productive this Sunday.
