Mitch Moreland Potent at the Plate on Sunday
7 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland had a great game on Sunday in a 9-3 win against the Houston Astros. Moreland went 3-for-4 at the dish, came around to score twice, and drove in two runs with a monster shot off of Astros starter Charlie Morton. Moreland has become an everyday player for the Red Sox ever since Hanley Ramirez was released by the team. He has become a consistent source of offense batting in the heart of the Red Sox order. He has a .289 average with four home runs and nine RBI over his last 11 games. He should be rostered in all deeper formats and will continue to pile up counting stats on one of the best teams in the American League.
