Mike Yastrzemski Activated And Starting Wednesday
1 year agoThe San Francisco Giants activated outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned outfielder Luis Matos to the minors in a corresponding move. Yastrzemski is right back in the starting lineup on Wednesday, playing right field and batting sixth against Cincinnati Reds right-hander Hunter Greene. Yaz didn't require a minor-league rehab assignment despite missing the last month with a left-hamstring strain, so fantasy managers may not want to expect too much of him right away. The 33-year-old is mostly an outfield option in NL-only fantasy leagues against right-handed pitching. On the season as a whole, he's only batting .233 (59-for-253) with 11 home runs, 32 RBI and 43 runs scored in 253 at-bats for the Gigantes.
