Mike Trout Out With Soreness In Game 1 Wednesday
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday for the first game of a doubleheader against the visiting Cincinnati Reds due to some soreness after Tuesday's game, but it's not a concern. The Angels expected Trout to be sore after his first game back from the injured list. It's still unknown if he will be included in the starting lineup for Game 2. Mickey Moniak is starting in center field and is hitting eighth in the order against Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott. Trout went 1-for-4 with a strikeout on Tuesday night in his first game back in the big leagues since July 3. Even if he doesn't play at all on Wednesday, he should be back in the starting lineup on Friday against the New York Mets after an off day on Thursday.
