Mike Trout Going Back On Injured List
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (wrist) is going back on the 10-day injured list and won't do any baseball activities for 10 days. General manager Perry Minasian is hoping that Trout will be able to return before the end of the season. Coupled with the news that two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (elbow) will miss the rest of the year as a pitcher due to a torn UCL in his right elbow, Wednesday has been a terrible day for the Angels on top of getting swept in a series by the Cincinnati Reds. Trout just came off the injured list on Tuesday and played in his first game since fracturing the hamate bone in his left wrist in early July, but he had more soreness in his hand on Wednesday and didn't play in either game of the doubleheader. With the Halos quickly falling out of playoff contention, there's no guarantee that the 32-year-old three-time MVP will be back again in 2023.
