Mike Trout Back In Wednesday's Lineup
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout has returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday and is starting in center field and batting third against Texas Rangers left-hander Andrew Heaney. With Trout slumping at the plate of late, the Halos decided to give him a day of rest on Tuesday. The 31-year-old perennial All-Star has a hit in each of his last two games, but overall he's gone 5-for-38 (.132) with a home run, six RBI and 14 strikeouts in 11 games in the month of June. He's still getting on base at a solid clip of .358 and has an .831 OPS, so fantasy managers in redraft leagues should continue to start him daily. Although Trout only has two homers against left-handers, he's hitting .279 (17-for-61) against them in 2023, so hopefully he has a good night on Wednesday.
