Mike Trout Back In Wednesday's Lineup
11 months agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout has returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday and is starting in center field and batting third against Texas Rangers left-hander Andrew Heaney. With Trout slumping at the plate of late, the Halos decided to give him a day of rest on Tuesday. The 31-year-old perennial All-Star has a hit in each of his last two games, but overall he's gone 5-for-38 (.132) with a home run, six RBI and 14 strikeouts in 11 games in the month of June. He's still getting on base at a solid clip of .358 and has an .831 OPS, so fantasy managers in redraft leagues should continue to start him daily. Although Trout only has two homers against left-handers, he's hitting .279 (17-for-61) against them in 2023, so hopefully he has a good night on Wednesday.
