Florida Panthers left wing Mike Hoffman has been demoted to the third line in practice following a pointless start to the campaign. "Something needs to change a little bit. It's something I did throughout the season last year. When it's the right time, I think a change can be helpful and energize a line here and there," explained head coach Bob Boughner. Denis Malgin, who had 22 points in 51 games last season, gets Hoffman's place on the second line alongside Jonathan Huberdeau and Vincent Trocheck. However, Hoffman, who has scored 20-plus goals four straight years, looks set to remain on the team's top power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
