Mike Evans Dealing With Hamstring Issue
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is officially listed as having a hamstring injury ahead of Week 1 against the Saints, and he could be a game-time decision on Sunday. It's especially alarming because Evans ended last season on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury. Keep a close eye on the team's No. 1 receiver's practice status through the rest of the week. Sunday's matchup against Tampa has a high probability of being a high-scoring affair, but Evans is becoming a much riskier WR1, especially if he plays in the season opener at less than 100 percent. Were he to be inactive, Chris Godwin, Scotty Miller and Rob Gronkowski would all benefit in the passing game. Quarterback Tom Brady's fantasy outlook as a QB1 would also become more shaky if Evans were to sit out.
