Mike Evans Could Be Game-Time Decision Sunday
4 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with a soft-tissue injury, and he could be a game-time decision on Sunday in Week 1 against the division-rival Saints. Making things even more difficult for fantasy managers is the fact that the Bucs play an afternoon game in Week 1. If Evans does suit up, he might be limited and would be a risky low-end WR1, albeit in a matchup with high-scoring potential in quarterback Tom Brady's first game outside of New England. Evans' injury and potential to miss the season opener also makes Brady more of a risky low-end QB1 in Week 1. If Evans were to be inactive, it will open the door for more targets for Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski and sleeper Scotty Miller.
