Mike Brown, Kings Agree To Contract Extension

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Kings and head coach Mike Brown agreed on a three-year, $30 million contract extension, keeping him in Sacramento through the 2026-27 season. The 54-year-old took over the team from Alvin Gentry in 2022-23 and immediately turned things around. He finished his first season in Sacramento with a 48-34 record, earning him the Coach of the Year award. The Kings ended last season with a 46-34 record, getting them a spot in the Play-In.
