Michael McGreevy Headed To St. Louis
Michael McGreevy to the major leagues. In a corresponding move, the Cardinals are sending right-handed pitcher Roddery Munoz to Triple-A Memphis. McGreevy made his MLB debut last summer and performed well during his first taste, holding a strong 1.96 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP across 23 innings of work. Across this stint, he struck out 18 batters and posted a near-perfect 2.3 percent walk rate. He also generated groundballs at a 64.6 percent rate. Earlier this season at Triple-A, McGreevy has held a 4.08 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP across 28 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level. Fantasy managers should expect McGreevy to likely see time in the bullpen, but he could eventually earn a spot start if he continues to pitch well.
