Michael Carter Returning To Full Practice
2 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter (ankle) will be a full participant in Wednesday's practice after he was held out of the Week 13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a low-ankle sprain he suffered the week before. Carter had been the team's lead back ever since rookie Breece Hall (knee) was lost for the season, but rookie Zonovan Knight has stepped in with over 100 scrimmage yards in each of his first two NFL games with Carter being hurt the last two weeks. The Jets coaching staff plans to continue to give Knight a hefty role, meaning that Carter might be playing second fiddle in the Jets' backfield the rest of the season. Don't expect Carter to have a sizeable role if he's active this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
