10 months agoThe New York Mets met with free-agent outfielder Adam Jones in Las Vegas at the winter meetings. Jones can still be a valuable veteran right-handed outfield bat for a club in need, but he's 33 years old and is no longer the stud offensive weapon he used to be in his prime with Baltimore. Jones put up a .281/.313/.419 slash line with 15 long balls, 63 RBI, 54 runs and seven stolen bases in 145 games with the O's last year. He's been durable in his career but runs very little at this stage of his career. Jones is a complementary piece to an outfield stable in mixed leagues, but he won't put you over the top.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
