Mets Eyeing Luis Robert Jr. at the Trade Deadline
Luis Robert Jr., Pat Ragazzo reports. The Mets find themselves in the driver's seat in the NL East, currently half a game ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies. Their outfield consists of Brandon Nimmo, Juan Soto, Tyrone Taylor, and Jeff McNeil. The most significant trend with those four names is that three of the four are left-handed hitters, meaning the Mets could be in the market for a right-handed bat. Robert has struggled mightily in 2025, slashing .206/.293/.343 with 10 home runs, 41 RBI, 37 runs scored, and 26 stolen bases. He also strikes out at an ugly 29 percent clip, which ranks in the seventh percentile. All that being said, he has slashed .351/.442/.541 in July, so it appears he may have found something at the plate of late. Robert's fantasy outlook if he were to be traded to the Mets would likely result in a slight downgrade, considering he would likely bat lower in the lineup and not play every day.
