Melvin Gordon III Totals 88 Yards In Win Over Chargers
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III (hip) injured his hip on his first carry of the game in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers, but he returned quickly and finished with 17 carries for 83 yards and added one catch on two targets for five more yards in the 28-13 victory. Gordon out-touched rookie Javonte Williams 18-17, but Williams was more productive thanks to his team-high 57 receiving yards and his second rushing touchdown of the season. Perhaps the best news for Gordon's fantasy managers is that he didn't fumble and was able to return to the game after his early injury. Expect the Broncos to continue their near-even backfield timeshare heading into Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs, which will continue to limit Gordon's fantasy ceiling as a low-end RB2.
