Melvin Gordon III Rushes For Over 100 Yards, Two Touchdowns
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III had his best performance with his new team in Thursday night's 37-28 victory over the Jets, running the ball a season-high 23 times for 107 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He added two catches on three targets for 11 yards through the air. With Phillip Lindsay (toe) missing his third straight game, Denver leaned on their ground game with inexperienced quarterback Brett Rypien under center. Gordon's second touchdown of the game came late in the fourth quarter and went for 43 yards. It was a huge performance for his fantasy managers, but Gordon's ceiling as an RB2 will be in peril once Lindsay returns to share touches in the backfield. Gordon will also have a tough matchup in Week 5 against the Patriots on the road.
