2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III is clearly the 1B to Javonte Williams' 1A in Denver's backfield rotation. Gordon did out-carry Williams in the season-opener, but that wasn't the case in the Week 2 win over the Houston Texans. The 29-year-old played only 32 percent of the snaps and had 10 carries for 47 yards, adding a six-yard catch. Even with Williams taking the next step in his second NFL season, Gordon is going to remain involved. However, he'll continue to have a low fantasy ceiling as long as Williams is healthy. And in Week 3 on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers, he'll be facing a defense that has allowed only 67.5 rushing yards per game (second-fewest in the NFL) through two weeks.
