Max Scherzer Has Start Pushed Back, Game Cancelled
Max Scherzer will have his sixth opening day start pushed back after the game with the New York Mets on Thursday was canceled due to a possible COVID-19 outbreak on the team. At least one player has tested positive while multiple players are under quarantine due to possible exposure. A second player is also thought to have tested positive, according to Bob Nightengale, although they are awaiting the results of a follow-up test. The game will not be made up during the day off tomorrow as the league is being very cautious.
