12 months agoWashington Nationals right-hander Max Scherzer had no problem with the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. Scherzer threw six innings, allowing just two runs on four hits to go along with 10 strikeouts. This was the second straight outing in which Scherzer struck out double-digit batters, after failing to do so in his previous six starts. It appears that the All-Star break gave the Washington ace some time to regroup after a couple of so-so outings. Scherzer is scheduled to toe the rubber on Tuesday at home against the Atlanta Braves.--Adam Young - RotoBaller
