Matthew Stafford Tosses Two Touchdowns in Week 17
6 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 20 of 32 for 266 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Green Bay Packers. This was one of Stafford's most complete games of the season, all missing his top target wide receiver Kenny Golladay. He instead targeted Brandon Powell and Andy Jones a combined 21 times. It was a "what could have been" campaign for Stafford and the Lions, as the team dealt with several key injuries on top of poor play. On the year, he passed for 3,511 yards with 19 touchdowns; marking the first time that he did not throw for over 4,000 yards in a full season since his rookie year in 2009. Stafford will return in 2019 as a likely QB2 in fantasy, hopefully having healthy weapons in Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay, and Marvin Jones.
