Matthew Stafford Should Be Ready In Week 11
1 year agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) should be ready to return in Week 11 against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks this Sunday, according to head coach Sean McVay, but he also said "he'll be pushing through." McVay said Carson Wentz was "a chance to upgrade the quarterback room. Someone that's played a lot of high-level football." Stafford sprained the UCL in his right thumb in Week 8 and sat out of the Week 9 loss to the Green Bay Packers. With the bye to heal up last week, the 35-year-old veteran apparently made some good progress. If Stafford isn't cleared to play this Sunday, Wentz would make the start for the Rams. Fantasy managers that have receivers Cooper Kupp or rookie Puka Nacua rostered are hoping that Stafford can return sooner than later. We'll have a better idea of whether Stafford can make it back in Week 11 once the team releases its injury report on Wednesday.
