Matthew Stafford Not A Starting Option In Week 11
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford will be without top wide receiver Cooper Kupp when he faces a tough New Orleans Saints defense in his return to the field in Week 11. The 34-year-old missed the Rams' Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but now he's back at practice and will play if he clears concussion protocol on Friday. In both of his past two games before Week 10, Stafford was held to under 200 yards. He has thrown a single touchdown pass in each of the past four games and has only thrown more than one touchdown pass in one game this season. Cooper Kupp has caught six of Stafford's eight touchdown passes this season, but now he is on the IR with a high-ankle sprain that will require surgery. New Orleans is allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game and the ninth-fewest per attempt. The Saints would be a tough matchup even if Kupp were playing.
