Matthew Stafford Has Cleared Concussion Protocol
4 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion), who suffered a concussion in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Vikings, actually cleared the league's concussion protocol on Sunday and said that he felt good in a post-game press conference. As long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks, Stafford should be available to practice on Wednesday. It's a good sign for his availability in Week 10 against the Washington Football Team, but fantasy managers will want to monitor his status throughout the week. The 32-year-old cleared the COVID-19 protocol on Sunday after being a high-risk close contact of a non-team member and went 23-for-32 for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions before leaving with his head injury. Chase Daniel came in to replace Stafford against Minnesota. If he plays in Week 10, Stafford has a nice chance to bounce back against Washington.
