Matthew Stafford Expected To Play Sunday Night
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) didn't practice all week, but head coach Sean McVay expects him to play on Sunday night against the Tennessee Titans in Week 9. Stafford is managing a back issue that isn't believed to be serious, but the fact that he was held out of practice all week makes this an injury to watch moving forward. The 33-year-old has been outstanding in his first year in LA, coming in as a top-five fantasy QB entering this weekend with 2,477 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Only Tom Brady has more TD passes than Stafford, and opponents just haven't been able to stop the Stafford-Cooper Kupp connection. Against a vulnerable Titans secondary, Stafford is a no-brainer top-tier QB1 despite a back injury popping up this week.
