Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd bounced back on Tuesday following a shellacking by the Pirates his last time out. Boyd fired six innings of one-run ball against Tampa Bay, scattering seven hits and striking out seven in the process. Even with his Pittsburgh meltdown in the mix in which he allowed four earned runs in 3 2/3 innings, Boyd's season ERA sits at a stingy 2.48. He has quality starts in four of his five games, and has allowed just one earned run in each of them. Despite a shaky 5.18 xFIP, Boyd is putting together a nice beginning to the season.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
